Terra Costa Howard for IL State Rep.

Below are samples from a 35-piece mail program I wrote with The Dover Group for the Democratic Party of Illinois in 2020.

In the blue-wave election of 2018, Terra Costa Howard defeated Peter Breen, the GOP floor leader of the General Assembly. In this 2020 campaign, Breen ran against Terra in an effort to reclaim his seat.

Our mail program focused on Terra as a no-nonsense fighter for women, in contrast with Breen, one of Illinois’ staunchest opponents of women’s rights during his time in Springfield.

On Election Day, Terra held onto her seat with 53.6% of the vote.
